Job Title:
Landscape Foreman

Job Description:
Ross Landcare is searching for a responsible, self-starter to be our new Landscape Foreman. The landscape foreman's responsibilities include overseeing the construction of outdoor hardscapes and softscapes, maintaining existing grounds, monitoring and training workers, supervising the use of equipment and ensuring staff observe safety guidelines and protocols.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Hardscape Foreman is responsible for the hardscaping and masonry work in commercial and residential settings. Type of work ranging from installation of paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, and wood construction.

  • Lead the team in execution of all projects, including outdoor landscapes and hardscapes including but not limited to paver patios, walkways and retaining walls, in commercial and residential settings.
  • Read plans and effectively communicate with the designer and crew.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure a high-level of service to the client.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of landscape equipment, materials, and procedures for completing commercial and residential landscape jobs.
  • Plant and landscape maintenance knowledge such as pruning, mulching, edging and weeding.
  • Understanding of the construction behind hardscape projects including patios, walkways and retaining walls.
  • Strong leadership skills with employees as well as being able to communicate effectively with management and customers.
  • Must be a self-starting, take-charge individual with strong motivation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to motivate, train, and monitor employees while maintaining company guidelines and safety requirements.
  • Must have knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment operation such as skid steer, excavator, hand power tools
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in landscape maintenance and/or landscape construction.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Experience with driving a truck and trailer is preferred, but not a necessary requirement.
  • Dependable, punctual, team oriented.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug test required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Job Title:
Lawn & Landscape Technician

Job Description:
We’re looking for seasonal, full-time employees (opportunity for year-round with snow plowing) who will help with installation and maintenance of all commercial and residential landscapes and hardscapes in Southeastern Milwaukee and Racine Counties. Join our growing team! Opportunities for advancement available.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Help with the design and installation of commercial and residential hardscapes, including paver patios, sidewalks, retaining walls and outdoor fire pits.
  • Regular mowing and trimming of commercial and residential lawns.
    Seasonal cleanup, including pruning, hedging, weeding of commercial and residential properties.
  • Must be able to maneuver and control equipment, including mowers, small excavating equipment and various hand tools in a safe and effective fashion.
  • Ability to work varied shifts and long hours during peak operation times (spring, summer and fall)
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • Self-starting, take-charge individual who can operate as part of a team.
  • Prior experience is not mandatory, but is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Experience with driving a truck and trailer is preferred, but not necessary.

Job Type: Full time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. (Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications)
